Reid Temple AME Church will host its 4th Annual Music and Worship Conference, November 3-6 at the main campus in Glenn Dale, Maryland.

Wednesday’s OPENING SESSION features a panel discussion between local area Pastors and Ministers of Music titled “Bridging the Gap between the Pulpit and Music Ministry”.  Our panelist include:  Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington, Rev. Scot Moore, Rev. Dr. Michael Bell, Rev. Dr. Charlene Monk, Rev. Dr. Harry Seawright, Rev. Nolan Williams, Evangelist Myrna Summers, Rev. Rosalyn Lynch and Minster John "Bucky" Tillery.   A special youth session, “Souled Out” will be held for youth ages 7 t0 12.  The Opening Session is free and open to the public.  VIP seating for all conference participants. 

The conference continues on Thursday, November 4th, with “WORD ALIVE.”  Guest speaker is Pastor Sheryl Brady, Campus Pastor of The Potter’s House of North Dallas.  Music will be provided by the Conference Choir under the direction of Rev. Dr. Peggy Britt.  Guest Psalmist is Loraine Stancil.   This general session is free and open to the public.  VIP seating for all conference participants

On Friday, November 5th, Reid Temple will host the 2nd annual iSing Scholarship Challenge” which features local area High School and College Choirs who will each compete for a $5,000 scholarship.  Emcee for this free event will be Comedian, Sean Sarvis.  Friday Nite Live at the Temple hosted by the Young Adults Choir will be held immediately following the choir challenge.  Local Gospel Go-Go Band, “The Ten Commandments,” Earnest Pugh, Charles Butler & Trinity, and Jayl and Unscripted will be featured.  This event is sponsored in part by State Farm.  

Saturday, November 6th features conference workshop sessions and our finale concert – “Thirsty 4 U”.  Guest artists include Pastor Clint Brown, Isaiah Thomas and Rev. Marcia Sapp!
