On January 28, 2012 at 5:30 p.m., composer/director David Griffiths will direct a special songbook release concert at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church in Washington, D. C.
Selections from Griffiths’ new publication entitled “The Praise and Worship Experience Songbook,” will form the centerpiece of this special concert, which serves as a fundraiser for the church’s Building and Blessings Campaign. This promises to be a wonderful evening of worship and great music - complete with full choir, soloists, band, brass, strings, and special guests. Great music for a great cause.
About the Featured Artist:
David Griffiths is a singer with a rich and powerful baritone voice who is highly regarded internationally as a musically sensitive performer. As a vocal soloist, Griffiths has given a wide array of performances across several genres. He has shared in programs that included many noted singers and groups including BeBe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Duawne Starling, Clifton Davis, Wintley Phipps, Angela Brown, Janice Chandler, Daryl Coley, Take 6, William Murphy, and others.
A prolific composer and accomplished pianist, David has gained widespread recognition for his more than 300 compositions, commissions and awards. This body of work combined with his success as a baritone soloist, teacher of piano and voice, skill in the recording studio, and extensive experience as a church music director as well as a choir director and clinician illustrate the depth of artistry Mr. Griffiths brings to his vision. David was awarded the honor of Christian Songwriter of the Year (2009) by the International Singer Songwriters Association, and recently served as Assistant Music Director of The Dream Choir, and was instrumental in preparing for the landmark concert at Constitution Halll commissions for compositions from a variety of groups and causes.

Griffiths.
David currently serves as Minister of Music at the historic Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.
