Her passion for teaching and the desire for students to learn have fueled a fire in her to bring out the best in each child.  Through her personal experiences and insights, she’s been able to teach some of the most gifted and most challenged students.  With a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and currently, a Doctoral Candidate in Urban Education Leadership Specializing in Planning and Administration, she’s learned a lot in the classroom about teaching.  But her real education didn’t come from a teacher preparatory program, but from her own experiences – some good and some bad – in her own classroom.  She has chronicled her experiences in her third book entitled, This Urban Teacher’s Journal.
